In late August 2022, Erich Jaeger, s.r.o. in Kopřivnice, Czech Republic, was able to obtain the EcoVadis Silver Medal awarded to sustainable companies. This award confirms the company as being among the top 25% of companies in its branch of industry concerning the implementation of sustainability measures. The sustainability assessment is based on the scorecard provided by the rating company EcoVadis.
In August 2022, the Czech subsidiary of the JAEGER Group, Erich Jaeger, s.r.o., underwent an assessment by the independent sustainability rating company EcoVadis. In this way, ERICH JAEGER was able to confirm its commitment to sustainability. The assessment is based on the proven scorecard, which EcoVadis is using to assess a wide variety of companies both from the automotive industry and other industries. Erich Jaeger, s.r.o., was awarded a silver medal, which places the company among the top 25% of companies concerning sustainability. This positive assessment was due to various sustainability measures the location implemented during the recent years – reaching from clear environmental policies to labor and human rights policies on diversity, equity and inclusion to various awareness trainings concerning ethical behavior, just to name a few.
EcoVadis has been founded in 2007 and has since grown to become the world's largest provider of business sustainability rankings, creating a global network of more than 100,000 rated companies. The ranking methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000, covering more than 200 categories and 175 countries. The Sustainability Scorecard illustrates performance across 21 indicators in four themes:
